In this sermon from 1 John 3:1-10 we dive in to the deeper realities of our identity. What are the things we allow to identify us? What does God’s Word teach us about our identity? When we look at the two we realize one leaves us pitted against others, and ourselves, while the other brings us a sense of purpose and understanding we are dearly loved, yet no better than anyone else.
To the Christian, we realize we are children of God. In as much, we walk as Christ would walk. We seek to follow His commandments. Our identity is no longer our own. Everything is in submission to truth. We are a child of God!
