Bible Passage: Luke 2:25-35
Tim and Mike share about a man named Simeon.
Simeon is a oft-forgotten part of the Christmas story. But Luke finds him a significant piece of it.
Simeon was given the task of “Blessing” the Messiah. And he was given a promise that he would see the “Consolation Of Israel”. Remember, Israel had been through so much. And they have been crying out for the long-awaited messiah for literally hundreds upon hundreds of years.
Waiting on God can be hard. But God knows what He’s doing, and when He needs to do it.
In this sermon find out how The Messiah was the encouragement of Israel as well as Salvation for the Jew and the Gentile.
