The early church was being persecuted because they were sharing the message of Jesus. They were STANDING TOGETHER on the truth of the Gospel. This is the reason to be persecuted, not for just being obnoxious Christians who’s comfort is being threatened.
We often want to see a miracle so we can go back to our comfortable lives. But why should we ask for a miracle? It shouldn’t be for our own comfort but for the GOSPEL to be preached.
In the midst of pain and death we experience life and experience it more abundantly. He wants us to experience all life has to offer. We should pray for God to help us understand that, not for an easier life.

This sermon from Acts 3 shows the importance of worshipping together. Worship is a lifestyle. Worship is about sharing Jesus everywhere we go with everyone we come in contact with.
Peter and John worshipped by sharing Jesus and watching the Holy Spirit heal a paralytic. Then, in front of the same people who killed Jesus, they boldly proclaimed Christ. Finally, they REPORTED on the things God had done when they arrived with the other believers. Together, they prayed for boldness, to continue proclaiming Christ even in the face of persecution.
