We like to quote scriptures from the Bible - especially when they are encouraging and help to life our spirits when life is difficult. One of the most quoted passages is Romans 8:28. In this verse there is a clear promise of "all things working together for good". We often think this is talking about our current situation being wrapped up nicely and neatly in a bow. But what if that's not what this is about? And what if this promise is only for certain people? And what if this promise is even better than we thought? This sermon from Romans 8:28 examines what the promise of good means to the Apostle Paul and why he uses this language.

When God makes a promise we believe it, right? Except, it's not quite that simple. What if God's promise takes YEARS to come to fruition? God is a God of Covenant. And He always does what He says He will do. It may not be on our time. What do we do when we don't trust God will actually follow through? What do we do with our emotions? Emotions are all from God. But sometimes our emotions can distract us from believing or trusting God at His Word. This story of Abraham and Sarah reminds us that God will do what He says, regardless of our emotions. This sermon is about emotions and God's Promises.
