Series: People Are The Prize
Speaker: Tim Nay
Topic: Evangelism, Prayer
How often do we pray for people? Every day? For how long? An hour? (Or a minute and a half?) We don't always want to pray for people. It's even harder when the people we are praying for are difficult, or mean to us. Colossians 4:2-4 teaches us about prayer. God deeply loves people and wants them to love Him back. When we pray for other people, especially if they are difficult or mean to us, we are meeting God right where He is. When we meet God where He is, we begin to take on His heart. And we understand why prayer for others matters so much.

Series: Together For The World
Speaker: Mike Maglish
Topic: Miraculous, obedience, Peter, Prayer
In this sermon from Acts 12 we learn what it means to seek God for EARNEST PRAYER. The word for that is ENTREAT. Going to God, asking diligently for a different outcome. When was the last time you entreated God with other believers? Did you see a clear answer from God? First, James was put to death by Herod Agrippa. Then, Peter was arrested and put in prison. "But God's people were praying." Those simple words changed the outcome of the situation by the power of God.

When Jesus ascended to heaven He told His disciples to wait in Jerusalem until the Promise. They waited. They didn't know how long or what exactly would happen.
