Opinions. Everyone has them but not everyone knows what to do with their opinions. Unfortunately, sometimes our opinions can end up hurting those around us. Romans 14-15:7 explains why opinions were such a big deal for the church in Rome. In this sermon we learn the difference between a preference and an opinion and between an opinion and an essential. Finally, we learn HOW we can share our opinions in a way that builds up the church instead of tearing her down. "Which hill should I die on?" Let's make it the hill Jesus died on.

We are God's Representatives. Sounds simple enough, right? In this sermon from Romans 13 we learn what the Apostle Paul teaches us about being God's Representatives when it comes to authority. We don't always like authority. In fact, we are usually really good and explaining why we dislike authority. Especially in matters of our government. Find out what it means that ALL AUTHORITY has been put in place by God. Does that mean Hitler? Does that mean I have to do everything I'm told. Find out in this super practical, and helpful, sermon.

What would motivate someone to break out in to spontaneous praise? In this sermon from Romans 9-11 we examine what makes us a people of praise. When we understand MERCY we want to PRAISE. The Jews and the Gentiles in Paul's day were both recipients of mercy. In fact, neither had a right to say they did anything to be saved. Mercy should spark a change in us. An attitude change. A perspective change. A heart change. And it should bring us to a point of praise. Is praise our default? Find out in this sermon.

Have you ever experienced an identity crisis of faith? In this sermon from Romans 7-8 we learn about the storms of life and how our foundation can be shaken. This may not be such a bad thing. As long as we don't give up on the most important thing - Jesus. You see, when we mix our faith in Christ with other things (Works, politics, bank account) we can begin to build our foundation on shifting soil. Journey with us as we find out how the church in Rome dealt with this very same thing.

Justice. Let's be fair. We all want Justice when something bad happens to us (or those we love). But where does that come from? God. It comes from God. God must administer Justice if He is going to uphold His Righteousness. Yet, if God is going to administer Justice fairly, it means He must address our shortcomings as well. In this sermon from Romans 3:21-26 we learn how God administers perfect Justice, while still looking at us as if we had never sinned at all. His plan is not fair. And we should be thankful.

The Mirror. Have you ever looked long enough in to the mirror to either LOVE or HATE the person looking back at you? We spend most of our time looking around at everyone and everything else. In fact, we know more about the people we interact with every day than we know about ourselves (What we look like, habits, etc.). In this sermon from Romans 2-3:20 we find out why it's important to "look in to a mirror" when it comes to noticing the sins and faults of this world. Hint: It's not a THEM problem. It's an US problem. It's a ME problem. We have a problem. It's a sin problem. Knowing our problem will go a far way in finding out how to address it.

What is our identity? Our identity is challenged many times throughout our life. Another way to ask that question might be, "Who am I, really?" In Romans 1:16-17 Paul answers this question. There are a lot of things we are not. But, as Christians, we learn we are people of Gospel Identity. In this sermon we learn about the identity of Saul vs. the identity of Paul. Same person. Yet not at all the same person. Find how how to to remind yourself who you are in Christ and how your Gospel Identity allows Jesus to transform you at your core.

You've been invited to have a seat at the King's banquet. What do you do? Do you ignore the invitation or do you rejoice at this unexpected offer? In this Easter sermon, we take a close look at Jesus' parable from Luke 14:12-24 titled the Great Banquet. Jesus tells this story of a man hosting a grand feast who sends invitations out to many. However, time and time again he is met with excuses of those too busy or too self-important to attend. The man sends out more invitations, even to those whom society would deem undesirable, in hopes of filling his banquet halls. So what does this mean for us? Find out in "The Invitation" and learn that you too have been given an invite by God.
