Often we hear words like “War” and “Battle” when it comes to our faith.
Who is the battle with? Who is the battle against?
In this sermon we look at the first Christmas, when Herod decided to have all 1st born males 2 years and younger killed in Bethlehem. We unpack this story, while looking at our own lives and the battles we have.
Sometimes our battle is with God. Sometimes it’s with the Evil One. Sometimes it’s with ourselves.
No matter what battle we are facing, we can know God is with us on the Battlefield, and we don’t have to face it alone!

Sometimes life is good. In fact, sometimes life is VERY good. One could say, “A mountaintop experience.”
But what is a mountaintop experience of life? How do we know it’s truly a mountaintop and not a butte (A false mountaintop)?
In this sermon, we look at the very first Christmas in Luke 2:1-7.
Likely, this was a mountaintop experience for Mary as she held the son of God in her hands and placed him in the manger. What we learn from Mary provides some insight in to what we should do when we are on the mountain.
The important thing for us to remember: God is with us when we’re on the mountain.

Life is filled with hills and valleys. A Valley, by definition, is the low point between two hills.

In fact, could you imagine the valley moment of the first Christmas? Mary, engaged to Joseph, finds out she’s pregnant. And when Joseph finds out, he’s ready to divorce her. What a mess! Definitely a valley moment. In this sermon – Find out why we experience Valleys, what may be causing them, and the importance of God With Us during our Valley moments.

In this sermon from Luke 2:13-15 we learn about the Peace that come from Christ. In Jesus’ time there were two kinds of peace, Pax Romana and Shalom. The peace that comes from Christ is different.
This is an excellent sermon, providing rich detail as we sit in the shoes of the original audience and hear what this message would have sounded like 2,000 years ago.
Likewise, peace for a troubled world is available to us today.

Often times we question God when things are hard. That’s a normal thing. But should we trust our emotions and thoughts when times are hard?
In this sermon from Isaiah 7-9 we look at how hope is waiting on God in the TENSION.
What does hope look like? What is it? How do we get hope? God does his best work when things are hard. God does his best work when He seems silent.
Jesus is the long-awaited Promised Hope for the world.
