  • 19 December 2021

    Speaker: Tim Nay

    Topic: Christmas , Peace

In this sermon from Luke 2:13-15 we learn about the Peace that come from Christ. In Jesus’ time there were two kinds of peace, Pax Romana and Shalom. The peace that comes from Christ is different.

This is an excellent sermon, providing rich detail as we sit in the shoes of the original audience and hear what this message would have sounded like 2,000 years ago.

Likewise, peace for a troubled world is available to us today.

    Topic: Joy

Does life ever feel mundane? Another word for that is “dull”. In this sermon from Luke 2:8-12 and Matthew 10:10-11 we learn how Jesus brings us JOY.

Sometimes life can feel a bit mundane, but when we understand the fundamental difference between HAPPINESS and HOLINESS, we begin to get a better perspective on what true, biblical JOY really is. As Americans we are good at seeking short term pleasure and comfort. However, that kind of pursuit is fleeting. Yet Joy leaves us filled up.

    Topic: faith

In this sermon from Luke 2:1-5 Mary and Joseph set out on a journey from Nazareth to Bethlehem. This was no small task. A 70 mile trek with a very pregnant Mary (with God’s son), they had faith that God had a plan in all of this.

A lack of faith can cause all kinds of damage. It can lead to brokenness, depression and even suicide. Likewise, a life of faith can have the opposite affect.

Have you ever been taken to the edge of a cliff only to be pushed off? Has God ever done that to you? Has He ever lead to you to yell, “I’m Breaking Up With You!?” Find out what this has to do with faith in this sermon.

Topic: Christmas , Hardship , Hope

Often times we question God when things are hard. That’s a normal thing. But should we trust our emotions and thoughts when times are hard?

In this sermon from Isaiah 7-9 we look at how hope is waiting on God in the TENSION.

What does hope look like? What is it? How do we get hope? God does his best work when things are hard. God does his best work when He seems silent.

Jesus is the long-awaited Promised Hope for the world.
