Series: Simply Jesus

It's hard to share Jesus with other people when we're caught up in our failures. I mean, you go to work and you're like, "Hey, why don't you come to Bible Study with me? Why don't you come to church?" Then you're like, "But they know me! They know what words came out of my mouth! They know the attitude I had last week! They know!" Yeah... THEY do. But are you sharing Jesus with them? Or are you sharing your perfectionism with them? Listen, we all fall short of the glory of God. We're sharing Jesus with them. Jesus is the ONLY answer!

Hey Pilate. We noticed you wrote, "King of the Jews." Could you rewrite that please? Could you please write, 'He says he's the King of the Jews?" Pilate looks at them and says, 'I wrote what I wrote!" I'm not going to change what I wrote because it's going to tickle your little ears! People are going to try to get us to rewrite the story of Jesus. We need to look at them with confidence and say, "I said what I said!"

And as Barabbas walks away a free man I picture Jesus standing there, looking at Barabbas. He doesn't say anything. He doesn't proclaim his innocence. He just looks at Barabbas... He stands there guilty of something he did not do. He just locks eyes with Barabbas. Who's Barabbas?... Barabbas is you and Barabbas is me. We are guilty. Yet He pays our punishment. Because love says, "I'll take that!"

What Cup Of Suffering Are You Willing To Bear So That Someone Can Experience God's Love?

Listen, we can walk with God for years and years and years, and then all the sudden wonder if God is really even there.

The Middle Piece of the bread was broken, and He said, "This is my body." This is the piece that was predicted, for hundreds of years, that the Messiah would come.

What are we willing to give Jesus? And that's really the point of our end times study. If it takes us any place else than humility and any other place than loving Jesus, I think we're in the wrong place."

When the widow shows up to the Temple and she drops off her offering, literally that's all she has to live on. When we look at $.75 or $1.50 we think, "That's just a candy bar." But to her, that's all she had to live on. If you have much, much is required of you. But if you don't have much, and you give everything you have, that's a powerful thing!
